Ceramic Cover Bells An exeptional and unique home bell with moving bell. The cover is made from natural ceramic clay perfected by the addition of extra ingredients according to Mehlzern's original 16th Century East Prossian recipe. Each unique cover is hand sculptured and hand dipped for glazing. Metallic oxide glazing paints offer many shades of colour for the finish. The drawings on each bell are hand scribed and completly unique. The four-stage baking process takes place in a kiln heated at a temperature of between 760-1300 degrees Celsius. The artist Andrzej Żurek in his studio ARTES Andrzej Żurek-Strolus von Orlau has been creating the art work for the ceramics since 1990. He has also worked on many architectural projects in Poland and abroad (USA, Switzerland, Germany). The ceramic cover can also be made to individual order.
